Just a few of the completed dolls with new bodies and clothes. I'm going to invest in some silks and satins and other luxury fabrics for the next ones, though, as I want to make more fancy styled costumes and a maybe even a few hats!!
Petticoat Tales
This is the first doll from my new 'Petticoat Tales' range. I took my inspiration from antique dolls, along with characters from my own family tree and translated them into a simple cloth doll design.

More china heads...
These are all reproduction heads of various styles and quality. Some of them need a really good clean (another job waiting for me) before they are made into dolls. The large three at the back of the top shelf are all going to be peddlar dolls when I eventually get around to them...after I have completed the others...and built the two dollhouse cottages...that I have hidden under the bed (really not sure how I'm going to explain their appearance to hubby!!!).
The China Heads are taking over!!
More than I can manage...
I'm planning to offload a few on ebay before I disappear completely under a sea of cotton frocks and petticoats!!

A word of warning...or how not to needle felt!!
Don't try needle felting doll hair onto doll head on top of your lap....as I discovered, it's easy to miss and stab yourself in the thigh which bleeds profusely and is extremely painful (just lucky I didn't have any doll hair on the needle....).

My Favourite Primitive.
This has to be my favourite primitive so far...I named her 'Mercy Layborn' after one of my 18th century ancestors. She also went to the fair with me, but I was so relieved that after all the interest she received I still brought her home!! Perhaps she'll stay with me a while longer....
